Body recovered from San Francisco Bay ID'd as 1 of 3 missing from capsized boat

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A body that was recovered from the San Francisco Bay Thursday afternoon has been identified as one of the three people missing from the capsized boat, authorities said.

The San Francisco Medical Examiner's Office identified the body as 58-year-old Tondra Madruga of Sacramento County.

According San Francisco Police Department, the body was discovered west of Treasure Island at 1:02 p.m. Officers recovered the body from the water and later declared the individual deceased on scene.

Any connection to Tuesday's boat disaster in the same area, where one person died and two remain missing, has not been established at this time.
